Misplaced Ads

Today almost every web site has some kind of contextual advertisement placed somewhere around the text displaying ads that match certain content on the page and almost every street has a billboard or posters showing all sorts or ads.
On the street - you just stick your poster wherever you feel like, or just rent a billboard, so you can see what's it gonna look like. But when it comes to web sites, things are getting a bit more complicated. First - advertisers cannot allways control what content is their ad going to "serve" to and publishers can't control what ads are gonna show up on their sites. So it's kinda something like a blind date, lol.
Unfortunatelly, every entity on both ads and publishing place gets lost and things can get pretty funny, hilarious and even disastrous.
Take a look at some photos taken on the streets and some screenshots from the world wide web and I'm sure you'll get my point!
Frankly, I was laughing my tears out first time I saw these. Let's start from the streets..

Ad on the bus: "If you don't gave GIO Third Party Property Insurance, we suggest you don't hit this bus"; What an irony...

What's it like to be a good licking model and pose for some great brand like Nestle? Depends on what you're gonna lick..

This one requires no comment...

I wonder who got there first - health center or McDonalds? Maybe the question should be - who's gonna win - a doctor or a Big Mac? O_o

Even a cat society could make a religion these days. Just rent a billboard, raise you hands or paws and let people know that what you're standing for is worth believing in and spending money on!

Been there - done that...

Also - no comment...

Ok, let's move to contextual ads on the net. Is this funny or horrible - suit yourselves!

Well, what do you want? It's contextual and makes perfect sense: while they read about some poor kid who's suffering from third degree burns, visitors might wish to buy a new grill... Get it: burned kid - grilled meat? Damn it... :|

While we're at burned kids topics, let's see antoher great contextual banner: sponsor has a comment on the fact that one kid died in house fire with the title :Burn baby, burn!". Jeez...

He was a great and brave guy. He deserved to have ads like this...

Don't let the news about heart attacks caused by coffee scare you! Try even dedlier one!

Damn it...

Digg has thousands of great daily news and wonderful ads to be displayed with. Digg it? LoL!

I wonder just based on WHAT this ad came up in here!?
